Privacy Policy (Individuals)

CareConnect solution is a product of CareConnect is a limited company incorporated in Rwanda (2022). CareConnect. Company reg.number 120069920, (“We”, “Us” and “Our”) has created this privacy policy (“Policy”) in order to explain to you how we collect and process your personal data. CareConnect has a head office in Kigali.

CareConnect (“Application”) was created with the integrity and protection of your personal information in mind. To be able to offer you our service and assistance, we only utilize the data we have on you.

By downloading our Application and agreeing to this Policy, you (individuals) consent to our use of your personal data in accordance with the terms of this Policy.

Why do we collect information from you?

When you download our Application, we ask you to provide us with information in order for us to create a user account for you. For using the Application, you need to provide us with the following information:

1. Your username
2. Phone number
3. Geographic location (automatically retrieved)
4. Email address

Only username, telephone number and location  are obligatory to create an account. You decide what else to include, and we encourage you to do so, in order to have a more functional profile.

What do we use your personal data for?

Any of the information we collect from you, may be used in one of the following ways:

1. To support the sharing of your address, so that you can share it with any person, business or organisation. You decide whom you want to share your address with,
2. To verify your address,
3. To improve our service and the Application (your personal data helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs),
4. To inform our business and development teams for new services and technology development.

How do we protect your personal data?

When you create an account on our  application we send an email to the email address while signing up. By doing so, we connect your email to the account. In order to secure your data, you should always ensure that your mobile is protected with a password. If not, ensure to log out from your Careconnect account.

How long do we store your personal data?

Except where required by law or to safeguard our legal interests, we won’t keep your personal information longer than is necessary to accomplish the goals of providing you with our caregiving services.

You can always decide to delete your profile and account. When doing so, we will without undue delay erase your account, stop the processing of your personal data and delete all personal information we stored about you.

Changing our policy

We reserve the right to modify this Policy as we choose to enhance our Application. To ensure that you are constantly informed of the data we collect and how it is used, we will post any modifications to this policy on our website and/or in our application.
